A co-worker of my hubby's sent a message about seeing an exceedingly
friendly ferret outside their home last night. They know zip about ferrets
except that we have them so did NOT know how dangerous it is for them to be
outside and did not bring the bring the ferret in. I am assuming that the
co-worker is one in N.J. (though that may not be the case) till I know
more. Temps weren't too bad yesterday, don't know what today is due to be
like, but it is VERY dry and this animal is going to need food, water, and
protection. Now they know more; I let them know -- so one way or another if
they see the critter again there will be attempts to rescue. They didn't
see the ferret this a.m.

If you are missing a ferret in N.J., PLEASE, send me the description and
your location and if they match I'll let the person know and let you know
where your ferret was seen, plus will send you photos the person took,
figuring that those might help the ferret ultimately. Like you we wish the
critter had been brought in, but they had absolutely no way of knowing how
dangerous the situation is and are feeling upset already that they didn't
after learning more, so, please, be grateful that they did as much as they
did and are willing to do more.
