Judith,

I had a ferret diagnosed with juvenile lymphoma last year. We put him on
chemo and he did wonderfully, unfortunately, it spread to his Central
Nervous System and we had to put him to sleep. He had just turned 1 yo. My
vet did an autopsy afterwards and all the cancer was gone from his chest
where it had originated. She saw no signs in any of his organs either.
Emmett tolerated the chemo very well and only once was lethargic afterward.
I would recommend it to anyone considering it. We used Susan Brown's
proticol which is in the Ferret, Rabbits and Rodents book. I would also
recommend you contact Ann Jeglum. She does a lot of chemo in ferrets. She
in located in West Chester, PA. If you would like more info, e-mail me. I
can get you Dr. Jeglum's number if your vet would like to talk to her. Good
Luck!
