Dear all,
Apologies for lurking for so long.
Just an addendum to the ferret smell/descenting debate.
 
My family has two ferrets (Bradley, an albino and Pigling a polecat-ferret).
Last year when my father was trying (not very hard) to sell his house to pay
off his divorce settlement; he used to let the boys run around the house
directly before a prospective buyer was due to visit......
 
It was two years before the house was sold.
