Hi

Lots of stress in my life right now. I will bet lots of you are also
feeling the fall out of this economic depression. It is affecting
marriages, businesses, being able to put food on the table. And it
is going to get worse.

So maybe that is why it just really struck me hard today to read that
someone would deliberately WANT and HOPE to move to a no pet apartment
and be thinking about maybe sticking ferrets in a garage like so much
garbage..

I can understand and sympathize on so many issues. But it sickens me to
read that someone cares so little about a living being that they would
stick it in the seering heat or bone chilling and deadly cold of a
garage.

I have come to hate it when people preface their dumping with how much
they love the ferrets. Yes. I can see it in some situations. People are
starving out there. There is a major company that has gone bankrupt
here. People in their 60's and 70's suddenly have no benefits or
pension. I did not even know that this was ever possible to do to
another person.

But to say I love my ferrets, blah de blah, and I am hoping I can
stick them in a death trap and also hoping I get into this home that
won't allow pets...Maybe this is a heated garage that also has air
conditioning in the summer? Possible, but not probable.

It is not this particular person that would like to get help rehoming
her ferrets on the FML today that disturbs me. I hope she puts an add
in the paper and finds good homes for her babies. Maybe some of you
could give her advice on that. I am just sick to death of the "I love
my ferrets" (but couldn't be bothered to find an apartment that allows
ferrets or cats) lies.

I love my ferets so I am crossing my fingers that I get this place that
does not allow them and don't care if they die in my husbands garage. I
am actually kind of hoping I can put them there. What person who really
cared for their animal would stick it in a cage in the garage and think
this is a good thing?

I hope the person finds great homes for their ferrets. Maybe one of you
out there. The wording of the request today just REALLY hit me badly.
Don't you shelter moms and dads just get SICK of it?

Thank you for letting me vent.
