Greetings all-

Baxter has proved to be an daredevil teleporting flyboy with an attitude.
Late last night while I wasn't looking, he managed to get up onto my balcony
rail and dig in all my flowerboxes. Like that wasn't enough, I'm thinking
his enthusiasm must have unbalanced him, because he *fell off the balcony*
three stories down into the bushes.

I only noticed because it got so quiet. After ripping the place apart, I
raced down the three flights of stairs into the garden under the balcony.
With his rattle toy in one hand and whistling incessently, I peered into
the darkness. A few minutes later- an eternity- Baxter came slithering out
of the bushes aiming to steal the rattle toy from my hand.

He's fine, not even a scratch. I think I'm the only one that has
post-traumatic stress from this. I see he managed to sneak onto my computer
yesterday and post about the jeans. Now he's falling off balconies.

My thanks to all who recommended training ferrets to come to a sound or
whistle. It probably just saved my ferret, and turned what could have been
a tragedy into a scary but funny story.

Ariel and the bodacious Baxter
