Thank you to so many people who responded about my questions about ferret
playpens! Your information, experience, opinions, and suggestions were a
great help.

Based on my information gathering, I did go ahead and order a Marshall's
playpen from theferretstore.com. I spoke to their customer service, and
they assured me that I could return it with no problems for any reason,
including the ferrets climbing out of it. I was concerned that if it
wasn't defective they wouldn't accept a return...MAN, that store is
wonderful! Great customer service; great products, selection, and
prices; free shipping; liberal return policies, and they're registered
through iGive.com, so a portion of my purchase goes to charity...they
even have 2 of Richard Bach's Ferret Chronicles books (I bought both from
them, I wish they had the rest!). This is the best store in the world.
[This is not a paid testimonial....but Joe, if you're reading this, feel
free to send me a check!]

Anyway, if the playpen works out, I will order the expansion pack(s) and
make it bigger. If it doesn't, a couple of people told me that they put
PVC pipe on the top to make it impossible for the ferret paws to get a
grip on it to haul themselves over. Several people told me to use cable
ties to secure the panels, and someone sent me photos of how she used
cable ties to attach the PVC pipe to the top. So tomorrow I'll pick up
some cable ties, and then sit out on the curb anxiously waiting for the
UPS guy. (Just kidding about sitting on the curb).

I'm really excited about this, and I really feel it will enrich my
ferrets' lives immensely. Thanks to everyone who took the time to write,
it was really helpful!

Chana and the soon to be less-cooped-up 4.
