Yes 2 is better than one and if you can get them both at the same time it
will be easier.  Most shelters have bonded pairs.  And when ferrets bond,
they *really* bond!

Ferrets in hotels:
I know a certain ferret who occasionally visits the Marriott and once made
an unexpected appearance in the lobby--eeeek!  Be VERY careful of tiny
places--vents, AC units, under beds.  Sometimes the bathroom can be a safe
place if there is no accessible plumbing.  Check out

I've also heard good things about Delta Dash but haven't used it myself.
