I went to my vet tonight, and he said the active ingredient, Bismuth
Subsalicylate, is a form of asprin. He said Kaopectate didn't have it,
but it does now. He said it is safe for ferrets and dogs. In fact,
Pepto is what my vet uses for his animal patients at the office! I guess
the person I talked to at Peptos' office meant there's no real asprin,
like Bayer or Tylenol in it.
