Several members of our ferret club, Lane Area Ferret Lovers, in Eugene, OR
will be featured on the evening news on KVAL here in Eugene. We are planning
to show that ferrets do make good pets and that the sensationalism portrayed
by CBS This Morning was just that. We will have one of our local vets talk
about bite and rabies statistics. This station is the CBS affiliate in the
area, so we thought it would be good to have them feature us.
 
We are also writing letters to HSUS, CBS, and the local sponsors of the This
Morning show (our review of the tape showed that the sponsors surrounding
the segment were mostly local).
 
Well, I'm sure everything will go well, we asked that they make this a
ferret friendly broadcast, and they agreed.
 
I'll let everyone know how it comes out in the evening news.
