Beware those no noise and no filters ion generating air cleaners.  They do
a great job of cleaning the air, but a side effect of the way they operate
is that they cause all particulate matter to stick to your walls and
ceiling - probably floor too, but harder to notice there.  After a year
or two of use you will be horrified at what you see after removing a
picture from the wall so you can see the original color.  The effect is
worst in a home with smokers, but is noticeable anywhere, given time.
Something to consider when choosing an air cleaning system.
