Yes giving the whole tablet of the dog 0-25 lb dog Heartgard would be
recommended.  Unfortunately the ivermectin is not equally distributed
through the chewable Heartgard, so giving the whole chewable is
recommended.  The heartgard for cats is a much smaller size tablet, so
it is easier to give.  Likewise the 0-10 lb dog Interceptor is the
smallest tablet, and is the easiest tablet to give (mine will actually
eat it).  Revolution is another option.  This is a liquid to just put
on their back, so it is real easy to give.
