My heartfelt condolences to all who've lost their furkids lately.  I know
the pain you go through when this happens, and feel it totally.  I wish I
could write to each and every one of you, but haven't been able to.
 
Betty-my dear lady, you did more than most would for a tarantula, any
color.  I believe that anything that happens, happens for a reason, and it
was just her time.  Nothing you could have done would have changed that.
Maybe a little later date if the lid had been on, but it was inevitable.
I've met you and your husband, and I know how much you love and care for
the creatures in your care.
 
Todd-I love the story of your cat.  I have one to share.  Jill, my little
DEW from the F.A.S.T. shelter in Toronto has decided that, among other
things, it is now her duty to clear all cats out of the upstairs when the
ferrets are out!  I watched last night as this little girl charged three
cats, all who have to weigh at least 13-15 pounds each, nipped them on the
heels and sent them flying.  Had to feel sorry for Tigger-he thinks he's a
ferret and to be routed so ingloriously must have really hurt his pride.
I could hear Jill talking away as she was doing, and began to wonder if I
shouldn't get her western boots, a hat and a little lariat to carry.  "Hi
up there, lil' doggies, er cats!)
 
Lisette-it's been so busy at work that I hadn't had time to respond.  I
know that at the Purdue Vet Clinic they always wash the tables and their
hands.  When I went to Dr. Kubisz here in town he always wore a pair of
fresh gloves with each patient, the table was always disinfected.
