Swimming Ferrets

Do ferrets like to swim?  Is it safe for them?  A few times our youngest
ferret has jumped into the tub with my daughter and swims around.  Daisy
doesn't seem panicky or anything but I also didn't know if this was an
activity that should be encouraged or discouraged.  I know I read recently
about someone's ferret nose-diving into the toilet and then coming down
with pneumonia.  What's the general opinion on this?
