Deena, for the sake of the ferrets that pound/shelter turns over to you, I
hope you will forgive them for their uncompromising attitude regarding dog
adoptions.

Perhaps you will find an appropriate type puppy advertised in a newspaper
or posted on a grocery store bulletin board. Or even visit a different
shelter - armed with your new knowledge of what is expected.

My personal feeling on the subject is that people should be advised at the
time of asking for an adoption form, that there are specific rules. I've
lived in Florida, Tarpon Springs and Ft Myers, and know how very hot it is
during summer. I do agree that pets should not be left out in the heat,
but I feel you got trapped by a 'trick question'. It's nice there now, and
the questionaire should have summer weather vs winter weather portions.

Do they ask you if you provide air conditioning for the ferrets?

Georgia - the left coast one...
