Hi, this is my first time posting. Forgive me if this gets long and if I
did anything wrong when posting.

Let me start my saying how much I enjoying reading all of the correspondence
from FML and to know that there are many people out there who experience the
joy of owning ferrets :).

We have four ferrets of our own - Cinnamon, Ginger, Randi, and Scooby.
Cinnamon and Ginger are about 3 years old, Randi is 10 months and Scooby is
10 weeks. Ever few months, my husband and I need go to the pet stores to
look at the baby ferrets. It's like we have Ferret Fever.

My question is - Does anybody know of a good vet in Long Island or New
Jersey who handles ferrets?

Ginger has been sick for a two weeks (Green Poops) I do not believe it was
ECE since she only had the green poop for a couple of days and she did
remain active. My only concern now is that she is still not eating the way
she did before she got sick. When I brought her to a vet, he check her poop
and he said that she had a virus and otherwise looked healthy. We gave her
amoxillian and her poops got better. I have also given her Pepto-Bismol to
coat her stomach, (That is some job trying to give her this stuff) I have
even tried the "Duck Soup" and Ensure to fatten her up - but she does not
want any of it. Does anyone know what I can give her to fatten her up?

Also, would anyone know of the animal hospital in New York that tends to
ferrets? Where it is located? etc.

To all who have lost there fuzzies :-(, my deepest condolences Just remember
that they are past the rainbow bridge and are in good hands.

Happy Holidays!!

Maria, Michael, Cinnamon, Ginger, Randi, and Scooby :-)
