Your skinny boys are more typical of early alltered ferrets.  Boys neutered
later have a denser musculature.  The early neutering stops the hormone
generation that differentiates between them.
 
The years seem to mesh but it seemed that the ferrets coming out while Dr.
Bell was there were better developed.
