Hi friends,
It's ME! Pretty as can be Blossom! and it is SNOWING AGAIN here! Maybe
I can be the snow princess Hahaha.
Well the folkses had a meetup with ferret friends this past weekend.
Hospice Dad Maurice filled us in on Nikki. Nikki had emergency surgery
almost 2 weeks ago. Bi lateral adrenal, 1 lobe of his liver and some
nodules off the pancreas. Poor Nikki was a very sick little boy. He
spent a whole week in the vet hospital but is home with his incision
all healed nice. Nikki is not drinking fluids great so Dad Maurice is
giving him fluids to help him along. Poor Nikki had a really tough
start he and 5 other ferrets all deaf arrived at the shelter after the
caretaker had carelessly allowed a youngster to nip a handicapped
person. They would have been seized and sent to the bridge if shelter
Mom had not taken them in. Nikki had his buddy Jasper and Muggs a
hearing ferret for company when he was placed into his first adoptive
home -- but he needed another home about a year later when the folks
moved back to CaCa land. So Nikki, Jasper & Muggs moved in with Daddy
Maurice. Jasper passed away last year with adrenal / insulinoma leaving
Nikki anad Miggs alone. Each little face of ours has a special story
adn it is very hard for the shelter folks to not give us the care they
think we should have to be happy and healthy.
When his emergency surgery came up the shelter did not have the
$1400.00 to help... so Hospice Dad Maurice stepped up to help him out.
Now Momma says it is time for us all to start raising funds for the
next kids that need medical help at Ferret Wise. It is a hard thing
to do with so many needy causes but she will try!
There are some things on ebay again this week to help get things going-
and if anyone out there has some suggestions or can help with items for
raffle etc., she would love to hear from you.
