Just a few thoughts as I catch up on some ferret and e-mail duties.

PeTA used to be located in Washington DC (they have moved to the southern
coastal region of VA now) and when they were here, any ferret calls that
they got, they referred to me. Ms Newkirk is anti-pet, I'm surprised she
recommended cats and shelters to Jane readers - what happened to puppies
and dogs, not to mention other pets? I sent Jane a nice article on ferrets-
readers, let me know if they print it.

I received a letter from Gaston County Police (Dallas, NC) after mailing
them a copy of the 1998 NAPHSA Rabies Compendium (I sent out 1100 of those
things). They sent me their ordinance on ferrets - Did anyone in NC know
this is a ferret free zone unless you got a license for your ferret by
November 1, 1989? As I have said before, if you don't have a copy of your
city/county's animal codes- GET ONE. Send me a copy so I can keep my file
up to date (just the part that pertains to ferrets, if specifically
mentioned). If it is a FFZ, you need to get your state ferret resources
active and change the rules.

Next on my list of things to tackle, will be Tandy.

Has anyone heard the Budwiser commercial with the singing ferret? I've
only been told about it, and it is on the radio only at this time.

Pam
