Hi all.

>A post appeared on the alt.pets.ferrets newsgroup today mentioning that
>this past weekend the show "Wild Rescue" on the Animal Planet cable
>channel did a segement stating ferrets were *wild animals with a record
>of attacking small children*!! Did anyone else see this?

I only saw the very end of the segmet with the ferret. My father (who saw
most of it) said that it was a European wild ferret, not a domesticated
one. It looked just like our fuzzies and the woman talking about it was
treating like one. One of her last comments was that the ferret is like a
"live slinky" and showed how flexible they are while the kids sitting
around her oohed and ahhed.

Like I said, I missed most of it, but apparently they stated clearly that
what she had was *not* a domesticated animal. I did not hear the comment
about the attacks on children and I do not know if she mentioned that there
are domesticated ferrets for pets. Even so, this does not help our efforts
to bring our guys into the hearts of the general public (especially CA).

Lynn and the six kids...
