Sounds like a song, awhole lota Shedding & Shakin goin on...anyway

Shedding - mine are just finishing up - Ferrets shed 2x a year in the
winter to get a thicker coat and summer to shed their winter coat for
a lightweight summer one. You'll also notice they gain weight in the
winter and slim down in the summer. Make sure you give them hairball
remedy while shedding to prevent blockages. You are right about the
climate it takes a little longer into winter for it to activate their
shedding in Florida I would imagine.

Shaking - it's normal just warming themselves up after coming out of
their cozy sleeper and getting the blood flowing. They sleep like the
dead sometimes so it's no wonder they have to rev up after a nap. You
will also notice they shake when they are scared, like at the vet, loud
noises, etc.

I hope that helps.

Kim the Oregon one
