So many people wrote asking me to keep the list updated on the
progress of Val's litter, and since the babies are now over 1
week old, I figured it was high time I did some updating.

Val and the babies are all doing very well. We did have a slight
setback the middle of last week, though. Val spiked a fever, and
it turned out she had developed a uterine infection from retained
placentas. Fortunately, I caught the problem very early, and we got
her started on a safe antibiotic. I say safe, because many antibiotics
will cross over to the kits through the milk, and some antibiotics are
not safe for newborns.

Anyway, we got Val on antibiotics, and she is now doing just fine.

The babies are now over a week old, and at 1 week, they had all more
then tripled their birth weights. The largest one weighed 51.4 grams
today. There are 4 girls and 2 boys in the litter. Their fur is
starting to darken, and most of them have some dark spots on their
little noses. I put little tags on their tails, with numbers, so I
can tell them apart.

I have taken some still pictures, and now have those up in an album.
I have also taken some video of them, but have not had the chance to
download it and edit it. As soon as I get that done, I will add it to
their album, also. For those who are interested in following the growth
of the babies, here is a link to their album. You can bookmark it, and
check back from time to time to see their growth.

I hope that enjoy the pictures, and I will post occasional updates as
babies grow.

And thank you, all, for you comments about the birthing video.
