Well it is unfortunately that time again... (sigh) All has been well since
Woobies last $500 sickness, not too long ago. Now Its my Princess's turn.
Princess is going on 5 years old. She has never ever been sick and has
never had to go to the vet for anything but shots. My Fiance was playing
with her the other day and she was rolling around on the floor and I saw
something funny.. I picked up up and looked, Her Vulva is very swollen. I
know what this most likely means, but Im hoping it could be something else.
It seems that when the weather changes Woobie gets a bit active. They have
been living together for 5 years, Woobie has always had a tendency to mount
her when mating season comes about. (Yes hes already had adrenal surgery
and he never stopped this behavior). Could she be swollen due to Woobie
always being at her? I seperate him off of her when Im around, but when Im
at work etc.. They are together. Its not constant, but its enough.. My
main problem is that I still owe my vet $175 from Woobies last sickness and
he won't treat Princess until I pay that off.. He doesnt like to start new
treatments until old ones are paid off. His clerk gave me a very hard time
when Woobie was sick, I almost had to take him home untreated until I
started flipping out in the office. He is a great ferret vet, just
concerned about getting paid i guess, I have never missed a payment and pay
them faithfully every month... How long can Princess go like this? Do I
have time to wait before bringing her in to see him? Woobie lived with his
Adrenal Tumor for like 2 years until I had his first surgery done. The vet
told me it wasnt crucial to get it done right away unless there was other
problems. Princess is eating like a pig as usual, very active and seems
completely happy. Is there any underlying problems a Swollen Vulva can
cause? She is the smallest and sweetest thing you can come across.. She
still almost as tiny as she was as a baby, she never really grew. She is
weighs about a pound normally. If you have no adivce for me, then just
please keep her in your thoughts. Thanks!
