I have a 4 year old ferret Bandit who up till now has had no problems
using his litter pans.  Now he seem to just go anywhere in the bottom
of the cage.  I have three litter pans and do not want to put any more
in the cage for just one ferret.  The pans are always kept clean but he
will just not use them all the time.  I did notice that he started this
problem after he lost his litter mate; she had died due to respiratory
problems last year.  That is when I added the second litter pan and the
problem went away up till now.  Any help would greatly appreciated with
this problem.
