Georgie, our newest, has been sleeping an awful lot since he's been here
( five days now). When they come out of the cage, he retreats to under
the love seat, and literally, will sleep ALL day long. I talked to his old
mommy and she said she just thought all ferret slept like that. I told her
that when the other five are out of the cage, they hardly ever sleep as
they are out and want to run and play and hide things, but when they tired
themselves out they do go back to the cage into their hammocks. Is Georgie
sleeping so much normal? Are there actually some ferrets that do nothing
at all but sleep all day and all night, getting up to only eat and poop?
Like I said, she said this was the way he was when he lived with her, as it
concerned me and I asked because none of mine ever slept like that, or that
long ,esp. when they are out of the cage. I thought he may be depressed
and that's why he is sleeping so much, but apparently he has done this all
his life from what she said. Any advice on this would be greatly
appreciated, please email me direct.

Thank You,
Dooks to all.
