Need some ideas to take to the vet.
 
Zorro, the one with the gum problems earlier has now developed an even
BIGGER problem...his body!  With the inflamed gums healed, he won't stop
eating, and has fat rolls everywhere!  Looks like he's doubled in size,
and his idea of exercise is moving from his sleeping area to the food
dishes.  He isn't coming out to the living room to dook, run the tubes,
(don't think he'd fit anyway), or run around playing chase the human,the
blanket etc.  Given he's hanging with 11 others,and used to sleeping with
them, would separating him to limit his intake (They're feed-fed) cause
him emotional trauma?  What types of diseases would cause such a drastic
physiological change?  I'm thinking glandular...but haven't heard of
ferrets having thyroid, and don't even want to think tumor.  Other than
the lethargy and acute weight gain, he looks fine, healthy glossy fur,
clear eyes, good kisser, etc.
 
Have him set up to see Dr. Tony on Friday, but would very much appreciate
any ideas as to what to test for.Please e me with any input, re the
above, and if I should separate him.  The problem I have with that, is
that it would be short term, and he would just go back to eating too
much when back with the gang.  It'd not fair to keep him incarcerated
for-ever!  Fat ferrets need friends too.
