With the new school year underway, holidays upon us, and war going on I'm
not shocked that any shelters are having difficulty (to put it mildly).
Many people have had cut backs in their jobs, and many people gave and
continue to give so much to the 9-11 funds, it's just like Ferretguy said
once ... that shelter donations have kind of been put on the back burner
for many.
 
Jean has done so much and has serviced soooo many ferrets and continues
to do so, that I can't imagine where all the ferrets would go without her
there.  Jean, if you're reading this, I'm so so sorry this is happening.
And to anyone else in dire straights, I hope we can all pitch in and help
little ways.  Kat you are right, the most helpful way is to just plain
adopt if you can.  I hope this shelter is not closed down like so many in
the past year.  I'm praying for miracles here.
