Its a new year, maybe someone will feel generous enough to help me out.
 
I have posted here twice already describing the problems my two ferrets
have, both have had hair loss on their tails.  They are both neutered
females who have had no other illnesses in their lives.  The hair loss is
different on each one, one has no hair from just past the base of the tail
to the tip, and dry scaly skin.  The other has extremely thin hair from the
base of her tail down and has little black dots where the folicles should
be.
 
Does ANYONE have any suggestions.  My vet is at a loss, but he thinks it
might be adreanal.  I am a little skeptical of this, there seem to be no
other symptoms.
