Hi All,
I'm fairly new to FML and am usually what I think is called a lurker.
However I have noticed that many of the subscribers have ferrets w/ medical
problems. when my fuzzie (Squirt) needs medicine if it is in liquid form I
don't have any problems getting it down her. Here is why..... When we first
got squirt she had a common parasite and the vet sent us home with worm
medicine in little needleless surrenges. So when we found out that giving
her her Linatone on the end of our fingers could be painful and messy we
decided to wash the surrneges out and use them. Now every time she sees a
surrenge she thinks its treat time. When she once escaped at a friends
house (Scared us all to death) and it was thought that she might have been
exposed to rat poison ( An even bigger heart attack) we gave her vitamin K
and as long as she got a squirt of Linatone first she was fine with it. I
don't know if any one else has tried this but I've found it to work
extremely well. It also helps to keep a harness on her while away from
home.
