Almost every day I look at what is new on the Ferret newsletter. I read
such neat stories about people and their beloved pets. Your Ferrets all
sound so neat and wonderful. My Ferret, however, is quite the opposite.

I posted a bit earlier about his biting problems, but that isn't even the
beginning. He refuses to be potty trained it seems. I will put him in
his little box, thinking that he has been out for awile and that perhaps
nature is calling. I don't want him to go on my carpets. He will hop
out immediatly look at me and then go right outside of it. I have tried
forcing him to stay in his box untill he goes, but that doesn't work. Once
I find one potty spot I'll look around and find three more, yet it's only
been about a half an hour. It seem as if he is spreading out his potty
areas. A little here a little there. I have tried everything I can think
of. I reward him every time he goes in his box and when I catch him going
on my carpet I call out a stern NO! and put him in his box. I'm trying
so hard to keep patience, but it's so hard when there is absolutly no
improvement. It seems as if all I do when he is out of his cage is clean
up his messes. He does so good when he is in his cage, he rarely goes
outside his box. If someone could please HELP me I'm in great need. I
want to love him so much, but it is so hard when you are getting no love in
return. He never so much as notices me unless I'm a chew toy. I don't
want to become one of those people who give there ferrets away. Help!

Thanks so much

Shanna
