Congratulations, Linda, on your new ferret, Suu. I hope you enjoy her
and thought I'd share my thoughts on your post.

If Suu is deaf and can't hear Seiko hissing, it's going to take time for
Suu's shenanigans to let up. Patience will be Seiko's best defense but
you can always try to distract Suu if she's bothering him too much.

In place of audio or verbal "commands," you have to make sure Suu sees
you and any hand signals you establish such as pounding the floor,
shaking your hand, and holding your hand in a stop position. If deaf,
she will look for visual clues as to what's happening more than Seiko
does and may eventually follow both of you around to ensure getting in on
all the action. She'll depend on scents, too, to guide her to the fun.

Good for Seiko. It sounds as though he's going to try to make the best
of this new situation. He's probably wondering how he happened to get a
kit not ever having been a pregnant female.

Good luck to all and keep us posted.

Alice and Fannie, who is also deaf
