Clear DayHello Friends,

First, thank you all so much for the kind words, thoughts, prayers, and
cards. They have helped me a lot. It has been a very difficult Christmas
this year. I miss my little buddies much.

As I thought about the passing of Noble and Pepsi, I tried to figure out
something I could have done differently. Something to prevent Noble's
passing and something to give Pepsi more time and a chance to be well
enough to play. I cried and screamed and struggled with it all but there
was nothing that I found that I could have done differently. I was pretty
down in the dumps and was barely putting one foot in front of the other
and then it dawned on me. The nature of ferrets and what Noble and Pepsi
would want of me now. The last thing I could give them is thankfullness
for the time I had with them.

So Noble, thank you for teaching me that there is such a thing as a
dignified ferret. Thank you for the unconditional love you gave and the
devotion you showed me by following me everywhere. Thank you for getting
so much healthier and being able to play again before leaving me and thank
you for all of the ferret kisses you bestowed on me. I will remember the
clicking of your nails on the floor and the feel of your wet kisses
forever. I love you.

Pepsi, thank you for being such a little goof ball! Thank you for the
most unique little war dance I have ever seen. A jump up, a land on the
side, a roll over and start all over again. It looked like you were
clumsy but it was the way you did it every time. Thank you for your
exuberence and zest for life. Thank you for staying with me thru
Christmas and lastly, thank you (this is hard) for teaching me that most
difficult lesson, when to let go in love. I love you little man.

So......... I start the New Year, sadder but with a thankful heart and a
life that is richer by far, blessed by these two special beings who shared
their life with me.
