Hi,

I just read an article from a pull out health section of the NY Daily
News dated 12/23/02. There is research being done At University of
Texas Dental School by Dr .Mary MacDougall. She is using ferrets to try
to grow back dentin, producing a natural filling for cavities. Human
studies are to begin next year. This is the first dental experiment,
according to the article using tissue engineering. Has anyone heard of
what happens to the ferrets after the experiments, and how they are
treated during?

Debbie
