Just thought I'd de-lurk to post on the above subjects.
 
on nipping:
I have had good luck w/ Ming-Jou (sable sprite 1 and a half yrs who I have
had since she was a kit) training her not to nip by uttering a soft, whining
"OW" and going completely limp.  She always lets go after sensing I have
gone limp.  Another thing that usually works is if I nip her back.  She gets
this confused look on her face and stops.
 
on pneumonia:
Ming-Jou has just been diagnosed w/pneumonia.  She is on Cefa drops (16cc
w/food twice a day).  She thinks it is a treat and will lick it right off my
fingers.  Scheduled check up in two weeks but in the meantime is not allowed
outside for her daily romp - Can we say NOT IMPRESSED!!! <g> She hates being
cooped up in the house...sigh
 
on broken toenails:
Ming Jou has had them broken before (after playing outside).  The vet just
clipps it off, puts two-way padded tape on it and it eventually grows back.
on tail sniffin' hoomans:
 
been there/done that/do it all the time/love that grape soda aroma!! :)
 
Any idea what day(s) Bob C will be in Calgary?
