Didn't the justice system every hear of the word CONSECUTIVE???
 
Can't the owners claim that Melton bit them?  I don't think there is a
rabies shedding period in the compendium for Humans.  (And we all know
what that means)
 
I'm happy to hear that the case was finally brought to closuer.
