In order to continue the Bo and Bill last issue thinks, I have really
the fell that in general people don't use Internet as gobal media for
researching foreign ferret's informations.

I'd shown very rare cases of persons who cross the border langage ; if
it's appears not necessary for day-to-day ferret's information, I think
it's a pity for special informations.

In the few people I knew in this way, there's the dutch responsibles of
the W.F.U.
http://home-1.worldonline.nl/wfu
(as Sabine Van Voorn) who try to take note of the bi-continental
informations. As often in Holland, they are very fluent in english.

In the same order I'am a fan of the Dr Lewington o) in vet's books. I'm
not qualified to take judgement on his health conclusions, but indeed he
work in Australia, his guide " Ferret Husbandry, Medecine & Surgery /
John H. Lewington - Bedford : Buttenworth and Heinemann Publishing,
2000 - ISBN 0-7506-4251-3 " take really care of the differents
continentals views.

And I want cited Lorraine Tremblay, of Mustela Canada
http://www.storm.ca/~ferret
because she are on intercontinentals contacts and it's by her that's i'am
here on the FML.

In my case, i'd discovered the name of the FML by the Central Ferret's
FAQ "do you speak ferret ?" who was translated in 1998 by swiss and
quebecians peoples when I'm became both ferret's owner and net user in
2000. I'd also seen some Bo Church's articles published first from the
FML... I'd thought first that FML was an national list for USA, and so
I don't try to suscribe (I suppose Bill goes smille o) Few mounth ago,
Lorraine Tremblay (perfectly bilingual as many candadians) told me about
the Bo's project of travel to Europe and explain to me that it's better
to contact Bo Church himself to use the FML than to use private e-mails :
so I suscribed and landed on the FML !

So it's of course difficult to be perfectly global because in general
peoples know just one or two foreign langages ; and in the life after
school many things were forgotten ! o)

But with english-spanish-french-german (eventually italian) the essential
was covered on the Net, i have the impress. To expresse an information
it's not necessary to speak well and fluent, because the Net-user will
find a way for express that he want to say. For me it's more difficult
to received a foreign information because you don't know what your
contact would said.

Indeed the automatics computer translations are not satisfactory, I
think that the border's langage can be outpassed to send approximative
informations (for -bad- exemple I'm in this present second using
simplyfied sentences contstruction and verbs times). In fact, I suppose
the real problem it's the time : it's more difficult and slow to pratice
foreign langage informations, when in the same time it's needed to do
his job, working on a personal ferret website or association, using his
e-mail box, and going in his country ferret's forum... o)

Inclued in the ferret's association, it's a great pity that sometimes
in the year peoples don(t take the time to make ferret's foreign
explorations on the web. I'm remenber for personal exemple be one of
them firsts Net-user of my country to contact Karina Morales-Ueno of
Todos Hurones http://www.ciudadfutura.com/hurones for the spanish web
(the biggest site in this langage) or the Berlin FrettchenClub
http://www.frettchen.com/ for the german web... o) I hope for future
years peoples try to use more global Internet include for not-specialised
informations, like for the people using feeret's cages, cage's
contructions for exemple...

Olivier, a liitle talkative today, sorry o)
[No need to apologize -- great information! BIG]
