Can you meet the elder ferret, to get a feel for her? It's true that
the poor thing could die of a broken heart by being passed around. On
the other hand, it sounds like the owner is an irresponsible idiot who
may not be paying that much attention to these guys anyway. This may be
a case where even the ailing elder will be much better off passing away
finally knowing love again in her last days. And it may also be that
those six months can be prolonged by the kind of love and attention
that only a loving adult ferret person can provide. I sure hope that
someone capable of providing that can get in touch with this child and
check out the situation. Maybe give that poor elder some love.

As for the others, they don't need to be with this kid a moment longer.
