Alot of ferrets are blowing their coats right now. Now is the time to
give them laxatives to help with this issue. Ferrets are unable to cough
up hairballs like cats, so it is extremely important to give them a
laxative. Ferret lax by Marshalls is available at alot of online stores
and local pet stores. However it is a bit pricey. To save money use
this recipe:

2 Tablespoons of Unscented Vaseline
1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
1 teaspoon of Ferrettone for flavor

We recommend giving every ferret a lick of this 2-3 times/week during
most of the year and at Shedding time, everyday until shedding is gone.
You will notice a nice slimy poopie. This is normal and shows you the
laxative is working. By doing this you will save yourself a $400+
surgery.

Happy Shedding Season!
