Antibiotics treat bacterial infections, not viral ones. They certainly help with secondary bacterial infections, though. Tamiflu can help reduce influenza but the supply is a bit limited. Ferrets and cats can get H1N1. So can birds and pigs. Dogs and horses have gotten other types of influenza but it is not definite whether they can get this one or not.
