I'm sure you have probably thought of this already but the ferrets that
we see with shelter shock usually do better if they have another ferret
to bond to (and then are not separated from). We had one kid who was
brought in by an owner who didn't have time for him, come to find out
he just didn't have time for two and so he brought us the one. He did
fine for awhile and then just went down hill. As soon as we got him a
buddy he did much better!
