Well, I still haven't gotten my own ferrets yet, (I'm working on it) but
my next-door neighbor just got two females from a pet store that I had
pretty much written off as a possible carpet-shark source. It turns out
however, that the ferrets they sell are from Marshall Farms, which I seem
to remember having been mentioned in rec.pets a time or two. My neighbor
grilled the pet-shop owners very thoroughly about ferrets, and reports
that they were very knowledgable and went to a great deal of trouble to
make sure that any ferrets they sold were going to good homes. This pet
store now seems like a pretty safe bet, but my neighbor and I would like
to hear any information (facts, opinions, whatever) about Marshall Farms.
One specific thing I'm wondering is how to tell if they really are from
Marshall Farms. All information is greatly appreciated since I am dying
for a carpet-shark myself, and also because I'm trying to get in good
with this particular neighbor. Hubba-hubba :-) E-mail replies preferred,
but mailing-list follow-ups work fine, too. Thank you all very much in
advance.
