>What is the most embarrassing inconvenience your ferret has ever caused
>you?

Sukie, I had to respond to this one because I still turn red just thinking
about it. One day last year I came home early from work with a sinus
headache. During this time, there had been a couple of break-ins/assaults
in homes where the guy was in the house when the owner came home. So I
went in and as I was going up the stairs I heard noise in the back of the
house. All of the cats were in the living room, so I knew it wasn't one
of them. I left and called the police. I wasn't about to check any noise
out by myself. Two police cruisers come racing down the street, lights
on, sirens blaring. Garage door is open still, so they went in, guns
drawn..... Well, about 2 minutes later the door opens a crack and the
officer asks, "Ma'am, do you have ferrets?" Thus, the humiliation started.
He couldn't even open the door because Thor had followed him down the steps
from the bathroom and was at his heels! My wonderful husband (sarcastic
voice) had put the ferrets away the night before, but alas, he forgot to
latch the cage!!!!!!!!! I cannot even begin to describe the embarrassment!
But the officers were very nice and asked several ferret questions.....and
my headache was gone!
