Obtaining 501c3 status

Sometime a while ago someone wrote about getting non-profit 501c3 status
for a set fee.  I printed that out but can't find it among all the other
good advice I save from the FML.  So would whoever knows how to go about
this please send it again so we can proceed.  Ferret Friends finaally
incorporated with the state of Arizona two years ago but we would like
to get the 501c3 for obvious reasons.  Thanks for any help.
