Hi, all. I went to the Parade magazine site and checked this out
(http://www.parade.com/givingchallenge?source=pressAGC).

The contest runs through JANUARY 31, 2008 so there is a bit more time.
It is not about the amount given as each person is counted only once.
It is about the numbers, so the more people who donated, the better.
Right now we have 8 donors.

The way it works, the more donors we have the better. The one with
the most donors wins $1000 for that group (Prairie Wildlife Research at
http://www.prairiewildlife.org ) and $50,000 for the domesticated
ferret. The money will go into the ferret community and be used to help
shelters and rescuers, as well as for disaster relief for ferrets.

Do I sound excited? Oh, yeah! Tell your friends, your family, your
colleagues, put the link on your blog. Spread the word! Let's make
money for the ferrets - and think of the publicity if we win! Click on
http://www.networkforgood.org/pca/Badge.aspx?BadgeId=108677 to donate.
Sorry for the overzealous approach, I just like the $$$ I am seeing!

Oh, you are not having to do this for my birthday or me. You can send
a notice to anyone from this link and so a birthday or gift you need
to make in someone's honor or memory is also great and we all still
get the count.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

renee :)
