Going to Zoo Atlanta with us on Sunday? Well, here s a way you will be
able to stretch the dollars. The regular price of attendance for adults
is $17.50. If we have 15 99 in our group, the rates drop to $14.98 for
adults (12 - 54), $10.70 for seniors (55 and older), and $9.63 for 3 11
years old.

Now, if you want to get the biggest bang for your buck, here s another
option. Zoo Atlanta is part of the American Zoological Association. To
see if you have a zoo in your area that is part of this group, go to
http://www.aza.org/FindZooAquarium/. If you join a zoo in your area you
will be able to use your membership to visit Zoo Atlanta free or at a
greatly reduced fee (more details to follow). You may want to consider
purchasing a yearlong membership and obtaining the extra benefits. For
only a little more than a one-time visit to Zoo Atlanta, you can get
unlimited admissions to your local zoo.

If there is NOT a member zoo in your area, the Smithsonian National Zoo
in Washington, D.C. is a part of this group. (Anybody been watching
the Blackfooted Ferret Cam?) They have several memberships available.
Their *zoogoer* membership, for example, costs about $25 and gives the
bearer admission to several places. I, for one, will be purchasing my
ticket through the National Zoo.

The contact for the zoo trip, in case you want to get the group rate,
is Lynn Barker. You can let her know that you are going at
[log in to unmask] Please tell her how many people you will have and
their ages. All group reservations must be paid in advance.

The current plan is that, following Bob s talk at the Symposium, we will
be dismissed. Those planning to leave Atlanta following the zoo trip
will be able to get their things out of their rooms if they want. We
will grab a bite to eat and head to the zoo (unless the majority want to
eat at the zoo). We will spend the afternoon talking to the animals at
Zoo Atlanta. Your hosts: Lynn Barker, Bob Church and *moi.* Can t wait
to see y all!

renee :)
