You may or may not be aware that Premium Edge Kitten Food is exactly like
Path Valley Ferret Food and is way less expensive.  What I've heard from
ferret owners is that Premium Edge Kitten Food is impossible, to near
impossible, to find locally.  I know I've been thru he!! trying to find
it locally.  I don't have a charge card, so buying on the internet (other
than thru TFS) is a pain for me.  I have a survey towards the bottom of
the first page of my homepage regarding Premium Edge Kitten Food.  If
you're interested in, or are feeding your ferrets Premium Edge Kitten
Food, please take the survey.  If the results are promising, I'll forward
the info to the manufacturer of Premium Edge to see if we can get them to
distribute the food locally or through The Ferret Store.

Here's the response I received from the manufacturers of Premium Edge
regarding PetsMart.  If enough ferret owners want to feed Premium Edge,
I believe they could become what would be considered a national brand.

I had even explained to Mark that Premium Edge is exactly like another
national brand ferret food that is way more expensive, and that they
are losing sales right and left because people can't find their product
locally.  I'm sure he's sick of hearing from me, but I'm real good at
being a pest.  LOL
 
I have nothing against Path Valley Ferret Food, other than the price.  My
ferrets love it!  I have 9 ferrets and I feed them 11 different foods, 8
at any one time, each in it's separate bowl.  Path Valley has been one of
the staple foods, however, I pay $14.99 for a 3-lb bag of Path Valley and
can have a 4-lb bag of Premium Edge special ordered locally for $4.69.
I can save more than $10 a bag.  The problem with special ordering it
locally is that, I have found through past experience, the store may or
may not place my order. :(  I want to be able to go into a store and pick
it up when I need it or be able to order it through TFS when I order
Superior Choice.
