Melissa,

I'm sorry to hear that your Stinka is having problems with the Lasix. I
had a ferret with cardiomyopathy who was on Lasix for the last months of
his life a few years ago. My vet. warned me that he could become a bit
dehydrated, and that I should give him Pedialyte to prevent electrolyte
imbalances/vertigo, etc. I also gave him some banana, to replace lost
potassium (due to the Lasix).

My poor little Paddington has been not quite himself lately, although he
seems to be getting better right now. One of his problems seemed to be a
bit of vertigo, and the vet. thought Paddington might be a bit dehydrated
and have electrolyte imbalances. So, I bought Revitalize (the generic
equivalent of Pediapops), and have been giving him some. He seems to feel
a lot better now. I wonder if perhaps Stinka is suffering similar problems
due to electrolyte depletion/mild dehydration from the Lasix?
