Wow,
I couldn't get through the whole thing the first time around. I had
to stop and come back to it. This is why I take in the old, and the
unwanted. Of the 11 I have had, three were bought by us. My husband
tells me that after losing two in a month he wants to stop rescuing. He
is sad and he has hurt with me over these guys. We are now 8, and four
are either sick or 7+. I still respond to all requests to take in the
unwanted, but I have found homes for the two recently. I have been honest
with him, I do know that we are where we need to be for our own ferrets,
our vet bills have been in the thousands lately. But I cannot say that I
will never bring in another rescue to live here with us. I can't imagine
that. For now we do have our hands full with those that we have and are
committed to.

I do not know how those of you that do this on the large scale do it.
My heart breaks when I lose one, and financially I have all that I can
manage now.
