Hey all you cute ferret lassies- It's your best pal Jerimiah! :)  The
handsome lad at Ferret Wise Shelter!
 
Oh sure I am saying hello to all my guy pals too -- BUT on Easter well
you know it is time to pay a little attention to the gals in their Easter
finery! :)  Well our friend Ulyssey's has made his way home to the
seacoast-- you know he sure lucked out-- he has 2 galfriends already that
are doting all over him.  I hear they were sprawled on top of him in the
hammy on the trip to his new house.  He is gonna be happy a great big room
and no cage except during sleepy time at night!  Ahhhhh a ferrets dream!
I think little Marie may miss him a bit they were snugglin some but shelter
Mom says she knows she can find a new friend for Marie very soon!  Yes
sireee friends sure do come an go here!
 
Bear is still holdin' his own in the upstairs quarters.  He is slurpin'
lots of soup now and hiding his treats-- not eating them so much.  He was
restlin' in a plastic bag and Mom was laughing something crazy about that.
Seems he gets a day with lots of energy now & then.  It is nice he is gonna
be seein' the Easter ferret again.  By the way the folks at Brodie's house
were happy he is still chipper and happy-- even though he can't use the old
back legs to walk-- he too made it to another Easter.  These old guys just
like the Springtime!  :) We have been able to have the fresh air fill the
shelter on the days that get warm-- what a way to go-- the kids get so very
excited.  Mom was really happy that the windows are up high so no one could
escape to the outdoors!
 
I hear the folks are all getting excited about Ferretstock- and the tee
shirt orders are starting to come in the mail now.  Guess we are getting
pretty famous for our tie dye fun event!  Mom said the shelter will have a
reception area on the night before Ferretstock at the hotel where folks can
stay with their ferrets- I think I should go and say hi to everyone!  Maybe
they will have Foamy Fries there you think?  It is gonna be something all
right-- this year there are more "things" for human folks to do...besides
playing games with us fur kids they will be able to make stamp art cards to
help a shelter--- make lip gloss or scented soap, and I hear Mom is looking
for an artist to do ferret sketches for folks-- so if you are handy with
markers, pastels or pencils give her a call- or email!  Casper still isn't
growing any hair back after his drenal surgery-- hmmmm what a funny picture
he makes! :)
 
We are awaiting pictures of the June's Angel gal -- we hear she gained some
weight at her new hospice house and Mom said she would let us see when the
pictures arrive-- I can hardly believe she made it-- she was so darned
skinny-- I didn't dare pick on her!  Cornelius is doing better IF he gets
his pred stuff 2 times a day-- he has a hard time walking if only one time
a day-- that means something-- but darned if I can figure out what???  He
leaves to go to his new hospice house with Aunt Mary on Saturday next.  I
sure will miss the guy-- he is a happy mellow cus!  It was sure fun when
Mom went away last weekend-- guess what Mom found in the cage the next
day when she came back-- ;)  I don't know how but the nutrical tube jest
happened to get lost in the cage .... ;) wasn't much left either!  Mom
worked real hard getting all the cages in tip top shape cause we got to
batch a bit while Dad was home.  The rice box was a real favorite too--
Mom says it is almost time to put a new aroma rice in!  Ohh like them
nifty new smells specially the jasmin one.
 
There is some neat stuff on ebay-- even a GI Ferret tent for FLO members!
Lots of new stuff to help out with the ADV test fund for the shelter kids
here!  I hear they need to raise a parcel of pennies so everyone can have
their tests-- adn speaking of such-- the shelter vet will be at Ferretstock
with both a rabies vaccination clinic AND ADV tests will be available for
those folks who want them for their ferret kids.  NOw reemeber all you
ferrets be sure to keep those humans on a leash-- they might get lost if
you don't!  That is a good tip for Springtime outings too!  They sure is
thinking of everything this time... Guess they want to get it right this
time :)

a hug or tw-o- somedays they really can use it!  Thanks to my new gal
friend Chanelferret-- she had her Mom bid on hammies-- and they told mom
to give them to the old ferrets here- to enjoy!  Can you believe that?
Hahaha well I get to share with Rex cuz he is a real old guy-- and we just
happen to share the same cage-- thanks so much!
 
I sure hope my ol pal Schnapps is feeling better-- he got all flustered in
the shelter fundraising competition-- guess he is the winner though-- cuz
folks bought more of his hammies than my pens-- I will find something else
to beat cha later guy!  NOw get better!
