Much cutting and pasting later, I am happy to announce that the problem

The formatting is not fancy; no bells or whistles.  The text formatting
isn't finalized either, and I'm happy to take suggestions about font size,
layout, etc.  I just wanted to get the site out there so that I can get
feedback on the content.  Please, come visit and give me your comments--
I've even made it easy for you by putting a mailto on every single page...
