Regarding the ferret that was brought in eating puppy food, dog food, etc.
 
Have you tried feeding him/her these foods?  You might want to try puppy
chow, if that works then titrate him/her to totally ferret.  I have been
using kitten chow, then Iams, then this food from Sam's club, cat food
type thing, it has oval round pellets which are light brown.  My memory is
terrible, sorry!
